Yes, I have a body

Am I objectifying myself because I have a vagina? I mean, yes? I get pleasure from my body, however that doesn't make them sexual products for you to have at your own will? And again, yes? I get pleasure from my body, but that doesn't mean you can use the pleasure I receive as a form of manipulation and objectification for the view of others.

We hear about it all the time right? "that's a short skirt, shes asking for it" "look at how she acts, what a slut"? I mean, the common slut shaming, objectifying, sexuality isn't all new to my writing, and definitely not to the world. The thing with it though is that many people may think that we have come so far from what it used to be like, but my question is: Hasn't it just started? As PEOPLE, we should be able to make decisions on what we wear and what we want to look like, as PEOPLE we should be paid the same for the same job! As PEOPLE we can choose if we want to continue to work and stay home with children, just stay home, or not have children at all! As PEOPLE our views and opinions shall be no less than another's. As PEOPLE, why does your anatomy decipher your worth to another? I have a vagina, so do many of you. I have breasts, so do many of you. I have a butt, so do all of you? I have legs, i have arms, i have a stomach. These are not objects, these are not yours to discuss, discredit and try to change. Yes I am a women, yes I have a body, yes I am a sexual being, but this is not ALL of me. I am NOT an object. I am a PERSON with a MIND, A CAPABLE BRAIN, FEELINGS, EMOTIONS, BELIEFS AND VIEWS, I am no less than you because of my anatomy. Everyone, look at yourself in the mirror. Hell, look at yourself completely naked in the mirror. Repeat:

"I am a mind, a soul, a spirit. I can go just as far as anyone. This body I have, is a casing. A casing for the complexities of my soul wrapped underneath. My body is not yours, my body is mine. Mine. I will showcase it how I want to. My body does not have to confide to your standards and your rules as I am not a body to be fit into your society. I am a free mind, with a casing. A casing which is mine. My body does not have to look a certain way, to succumb to a certain good enough standard because my body isn't a view piece, my body isn't an object, my body isn't for you to pull apart and look at. My stomach, is a stomach. Filled with organs and protected by fat and skin to ensure my survival and safety. My stomach is not a sexual object, needing to look better to please the eyes of everyone else. My legs are strong, capable and they carry me. Without my legs I wouldn't be able to walk, and I am so thankful and grateful that I have the ability to walk. My legs are NOT too short, too long, too wide, too small. My legs are not an object having to be aesthetically pleasing for the naked eye of another. The hair on my legs, my armpits, my breasts, my stomach, my arms, my vagina is for protection, is for warmth. I do not have to get rid of it, get rid of my human protection, so you feel better looking at me. My body, is not yours. My body isn't an object. You see because I am a soul, a mind, a spirit encased by a beautiful, protective, healthy, happy casing. Not just a pretty face, not just some smooth skin for you fantasize about feeling, not a vagina for you to take at your own wish."

Please girls, please know that you're more than your body. Please believe that your worth isn't defined by your outer surface. Please, please, please hear me girls, when I say - young, old, short, tall, big, small, whore, prude, nerd, bitch, bimbo, skank. You are not a label, you are not an object and you are not worthy, nor any less capable because of your anatomy.

WAKE UP

I am sick of it all, white supremacy, gender bias, you're worth on the basis of your grades, age bias, our education system, the damn government. I think we as a society need to understand and come to terms with the fact that not everyone will agree with you, not everyone will take a step back and open up to what you are trying to make them see. Some people will never change, some people don't believe they need to. But you can change, other people don't stop you from furthering yourself and changing who you are until you believe you're the best person you can be, until you're truly happy.  Stop relying on someone else to change, stop waiting on the world to change for you. Be the change in the world that you want to see, please I actually beg of you because it breaks my heart to see the world, individual people in such a depressive and condemned state. Wake up guys, wake up

Powerful humans? I think not

Who are we as humans to decide what animals are "pests", what animals are "for us to eat". No no no no, are you joking? We ruin the environment every single day, pollution of all sorts. Why do we assume that these animals are for us, or how do we find it humane to say "there's too many of them, they're pests, we should be killing them." They are voiceless creatures and it is disgusting that we believe it is okay to kill them, treat them in disgraceful ways for us to eat. Humams are absolutely relentless -  the number one predator, the number one pest to the environment, the most over populated species. Deer, cow, calf, chicken, pigs, kangaroo?? Why do we believe we have upmost control, and consider ourselves "better" than these voiceless speicies? Humans are so incredibly advanced yet we make an absolute mockery of it. The sooner we realise that we are not invincible, that others arent powerless to us, that we are so insignificant compared to this magical world we live in! Goodness we are so insignificant!! Look out the bloody window, look at a map! Search up the species living in the ocean, all the insects and how everyday they contribute. We act like we are so worldly, smart, and helpful, we think throwing money towards things will make a difference? What do we really do, as a whole, that contributes to the world - not just our selfish agendas. Come on people!! Just take a look at how we live our lives, how others live theirs. Start to make a difference, you can.

Contraversial subject... topless woman? How is it viewed in society? Extremely sexualised? Slutty? Attention seeking motive that she must have? Mmmm

Are we the next generation? Or the next item of the latest technology?

Im not sure if many of you have been keeping up with the good old Mark Zuckerberg and his creation of the VR Gear. His VR gear has been designed so you dont have to only see scenes and different universes in a 2D format but so you can export yourself into a completely different reality. And im not going to lie, the brink of being able to transport yourself mentally into a different world is nothing short of extraordinary. Though something you would be able to compare that to is the experiences people feel when taking certain drugs. I mean this direct comparison simply creates a link between the negatives that can and will occour from a world changing, literally, product like this. This extravagant item of technology could create an extreme difference in the world with illnesses like depression, anxiety, personality disorder etc if used correctly. It could also help the addicted, transferring them into the mental feeling that they desire while under the influence without the use of drugs, rewiring your mind, recovering. Imagine the positive power of a device like this - if used correctly. I mean with all the technology in the world, if used correctly would make the biggest difference. But i have no doubt that this device will not be used and directed in such a positive way. The world is amazing without us all being attatched to technology, but the fact that its here and only getting stronger, why not try advance it in sectors which need advancing? I wish i could joke and say "next thing you know we will have robot workers" but thats not even far out of reach anymore.

The taboo on sexuality

One thing that ive battled and run into some difficulty with is the taboo on females sexuality. Something in paticular, being that if a female enjoys or iniciates sexual encounters shes percieved as dirty, slutty and any derogatory name under the sun. However, if she has said she doesnt like, nor wants to partake in sex shes seen as a prude, or somewhat higher and better than other females. Again this goes back to this societal influence, when you hear about someone having sex, or not having sex, who is it up to to give that person a title? Have you ever questioned yourself as to why this is something thats so commonly thought? I will also introduce the talked about "cherry pop". Girls and boys, please know and understand that when having sex for the first time a male isnt going to break you and make you bleed. First of all, we have the ability to push an entire human out of us i dont believe the male organ will do that much damage. Secondly,  the hymen doesnt actually break, snap, rip, whatever painful sounding word is used; the hymen is actually very stretchy and bendy, almost like elastic - women who have had sex before have still had their hymen intact. Another point, it isnt the hymen that makes you bleed, nor may you bleed at all, it all depends on how lubricated, comfortable, tight and how used the area is to that type of stimulation (which is why foreplay actually helps, i mean where do you think the idea of "fingering" came from, to get your insides ready and stretched out enough. Because did know the tighter you are in the time of intercourse the less aroused you are?). And please know girls that a doctor cannot tell if youre a virgin or not, what a load of shit. Its all introduced to make women afraid and embarrassed to be having sex which is absolutely ridiculous. WHAT IS THIS TABOO?? GIRLS, WOMEN! WE DO NOT HAVE TO BE EMBARRASSED TO QUESTION, WONDER AND EXPLORE SEXUALITY! YOU ARE NOT A WHORE, OR A SLUT IF YOU ENJOY AND PARTAKE IN SEX. NOR IS THERE A NUMBER YOU SHOULD CONFINE YOURSELF TOO BECAUSE OVER 8 IS TOO MANY AND YOURE NOT RESPECTING YOURSELF ENOUGH? WHOS RULES ARE YOU ACCEPTING? WHOS IDEAS ARE YOU FOLLOWING AND LIVING BY WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT? We need to be teaching girls about their bodies not only about abstinence and forms of contraception and the dangers of getting pregnant when they dont even know whats going on down there in the first place?!?!? If girls and boys are both unaware about their own bodies how do you expect them to understand anything else? Teaching someone how to put a condom over a wooden penis isnt rocket science and really shouldnt be the basis of what we teach in our schools. Sex ed shouldnt just be about just having sex, the legal age, abstinence and forms of contraception? It should also include learning about your bodies and the opposite sexes also. One thing for you to think about though, back in the what 50s etc women were told they couldnt ride bikes or their ovaries would fall out, any similarites with the idea of females having sex would "break them" and hurt? Sexuality isnt a bad thing, we are humans. Mammals. Both males and females have different ways of viewing and approaching sex. We dont even learn about the same things in sex ed class so how do we expect to understand what eachother goes through in a sexual experience or what the aftermath may be? Sorry but why is contraception and pregnancy just ones responsibilty in learning, whereas if a pregnancy was to occour, though sex was either mutual OR IN SOME CASES NOT the female is still left to deal with it, and if extremely difficult denied the access to a safe, proffesional abortion? How is this meant to provide help if sex is meant to be a mutual, equal desicion? Or is it still blatantly obvious that there is still a more negatively affected, less equal gender? Though after saying this, i will say that im not saying you should go have many sexual partners and not care about who its with, i am saying that the taboo on female sexuality creates this barrier for women to be exploring and truly understanding themselves and at the end of the day it is your body, is it not?

The world is still our oyster

For the last two hours I've been lying in bed with my brain going off its rocket just thinking about the world and hopefully you'll be able to make some sense of what i'm putting out.

Why are we all sitting in classrooms? Why are we all aspiring to have a 9-5 job that runs us and controls us because of a small piece of paper? I mean what do we do? Wake up, eat, school, eat, more school, whatever you do before or after, home, sleep, repeat repeat repeat repeat where all we look forward to is bumming out on the couch, or in some cases getting completely wasted in the weekend? I know not all of us, but its a sad number that do. Now i'm not trying to make you hate the life you live because its normal, its what we have been bought up to do. But why? We are extraordinary beings. When did we accept to become such drones? Missing out on the beauty, the sounds, the smell, the culture, the diversity, the brilliance? All of which we as humans, don't notice and destroy. Why do we hate? Why do we compare? Why do we compete? When did ones life become more valuable than the others? Don't talk to me about religion because how ever messed up it is, its grown from a state of love. Its just been developed in the form of fear, discrimination and hatred. Why do we let the negative rule? Think of a dog for example, with a carefree, loving, happy nature - traits that we are missing because of experiences, judgement, gender roles, discrimination, unwritten society do's and dont's. Whos' rules are you following? Who are you letting feed you manipulated information to force your unknowing mind to think a certain way? The whole world is crumbling at our feet. Do you remember when the world was our oyster? I know that some people just aren't good people, and wont ever be. But all it takes is just one person to change, to see the world differently for others to see it differently too. I know there's some of you waiting, about to explode out of your shell to a captivating world waiting for you to explore. Do it. Don't let fear become you.
